That role existed alongside indodayekhaya, the man of the home, whose responsibility was carried through provision, protection, and guidance. Together, these roles shaped family life through example rather than instruction.

UMKAMIE reflects the experiences of women and men raised within this framework—now navigating modern life while remaining grounded in values shaped by both motherhood and fatherhood.

1. Agreement

By accessing our website, storefront, social platforms, or purchasing any products from UMKAMI ESSENTIALS, you agree to be bound by these legally binding Terms & Conditions.

• All prices are listed in South African Rand (ZAR) and are subject to change without notice.

• An order confirmation does not guarantee acceptance or fulfilment of the order.

• We reserve the right to cancel or refuse any order due to pricing errors, stock limitations, system issues, or suspected fraudulent activity.

• Orders are typically delivered within 5–14 business days from the order date.

• Processing delays or courier-related delays may occur, especially during high-demand periods.

Customer Responsibility

• You are responsible for ensuring that your delivery address and contact details are correct.

• You are responsible for tracking your order and being available to receive delivery.

• UMKAMI ESSENTIALS is not liable for delays, failed deliveries, or losses caused by incorrect address details or third-party courier issues.

5. Returns & Refunds Return Eligibility

You may request a return within 7 calendar days of delivery for:

1. Defective or damaged items

2. Incorrect items received

3. Items that are unused, in original condition, with all tags, seals, and packaging intact

Final Sale Items

For hygiene and safety reasons, NO RETURNS are accepted on:

• Intimate items

• Headwear

• Personal care products

• Sale or clearance items

• Items damaged due to misuse or wear

Return Process

• Include your order number, reason for return, and clear photos (if applicable).

• Do not return any item without prior approval and a Return Authorization Number.

Refunds

Return Shipping Costs

• For change-of-mind returns, the customer is responsible for all return shipping costs.
